Kaila is not one who takes well to the word “no”. When people told her she was crazy to quit her job in the middle of the worst economic recession in almost a century to travel around Southeast Asia with very little money in her pocket, she didn’t take them seriously. 

 

She felt a calling to Southeast Asia, and knew that was where she was destined to go. And her nine months traveling the region, it turned out, were the best nine months of her life. While on her journey, she kept a blog of her experiences, while also publishing helpful articles and tips to this website. Along the way, she’s had help from various friends, without whose support she would not be where she is.

Her journey around Southeast Asia was truly life-changing, and she learned so many lessons that she is excited to share with her readers.

Currently, Kaila is living in Bangkok and continuing to develop Blonde Traveler, to turn it into the website girls turn to for information about Southeast Asia. 

As much as Kaila would like to dedicate her heart and soul and all her time to Blonde Traveler, she is also writing for various publications, on- and off-life, including Agoda.com, Bootsnall.com, BangkokDiary.com, and ISEdb.com.
